National Assessment Group (NAG) Command, DOD: Need: Comprehensive understanding of Culture. Approach: Led a Fact-finding and Organizational Health Assessment. In-depth interviews with workforce and contractors around several areas including accountability, morale, and training. Result: a comprehensive report for next step Command development. (The NAG provides evaluations and integrated research to the DOD. )
Los Alamos National Labs: Need: Resolve interpersonal turmoil within a department. Approach: Led fact-finding for personnel issues. Across the board interview of key personnel about workplace appropriateness and leadership behaviors. Result: met with management to provide a report of recommendations for business improvement and professional development.
NASA – Johnson Space Center (Houston): Need: Improvement in business quality. Role: Consultant in work group leader and corrective action team training. Delivered tools for assessing performance improvement for teams and leadership skills across the enterprise.
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) (Vienna, Austria): Need: Assessment of the Emergency Response Center (ERC) performance. Approach: Co-Lead the facilitation and consultation of the assessment team for the IAEA ERC review process, including on-site fact-finding interviews of all staff members and documentation. Result: Authored evaluation report and delivered with recommendations to management.
New Mexico Department of Transportation (District 3 Leadership): Need: Professional level of leadership improved. Approach: Diagnosed professional development needs and built a customized leadership training series. Result: 12 weeks of professional development training, resulting in higher leadership performance and management capabilities.
Sandia National Labs, Albuquerque, NM: Need: Develop front line leaders in capabilities. Role: Serve as Leadership Coach for the Maximizing your Management Potential (MMP) course, required for all Level 1 Managers. Extensive leadership training in the classroom and 1:1 coaching in person. Evaluation of 360 Reports against desired objectives for alignment of the enterprise goals. Result: Every Level 1 manager prepared with skills he or she did not have before.
Northrop-Grumman Corporation; B-2 Program, Palmdale CA: Need: Improve program performance. Approach: Elevate leadership performance: Conduct a leadership assessment against standards through 360 and fact-finding interviews, deliver executive coaching with leadership team through 1:1 training sessions to evaluate areas of growth.
Public Service Company of New Mexico: Need: improve customer service and responsiveness in the Gas Engineering dept. Approach: Conducted customer service assessment for Gas Engineering Dept. Interviewed for fact-finding and generated a report of evaluated performance against strategic plan and issued recommendations. Result: teams addressed key process improvements and initiated long-term projects, while becoming high performing. Reported to Lead Engineer.
Chavez-Grieves Engineering Consultants, Inc., Albuquerque: Need: A successful Strategic Retreat. Result: Designed and led Senior Designed and Led the Management Retreat.
